The glorious “yesterday” of Levski
The work of blue favourites from the near and more remote past is integral part of the Levski Professional Football Club’s life. Veterans are still evoking strong interest among not only fans that have watched them but among coming fans also. The calendar is saturated since besides the republican championship conducted from the end of August till the middle of November they are engaged also in numerous other activities. They are going in for various charity tournaments and are non-stop invited by the Levski fan clubs all over the country. Every year some 20-25 matches are played from the end of April till the end of November. It is feast-day for fans to again touch Pavel Panov, Stefan Pavlov– Fifi, Emil spasov, Misho Valchev, Nasko Sirakov and many other proven masters of the ball. The former blue stars maintain also lasting friendly relations with foreign football teams like the Turkish Galatasaray and Besiktas, the Greek Arris, the Italian Udinese. Beyond the competitive activities the Levski PFC bestows great care on veterans and responds always to their necessities especially if health or financial problems are involves. The Club selected by Alexander Manolov in the last four years has three championship titles on its credit.
